Pentland Homes has created an exciting development of two to four-bedroom properties
Phil and Janet Marsh were looking to downsize and live closer to their family when they discovered the stunning new development at Mulberry Place in Kent which ticked all the boxes for them.
The couple said, despite looking at many properties, they kept coming back to the Pentland Homes’ development, which offers the best in contemporary living, surrounded by fields and less than a mile from the coast.
Within easy reach of New Romney and commuting distance from London, Mulberry Place is the perfect location to soak up the sea air or take a relaxing stroll in the Kent countryside.
It offers a selection of new two, three and four-bedroom homes, delivered with a fresh and contemporary approach, including individually designed kitchens, en suites, fitted wardrobes and luxurious finishes.
The Marsh’s are delighted to be living at Mulberry Place and say it’s the perfect development for downsizing without compromising on quality, and releasing some equity.
Phil said: “It's one of the nicest properties that we've seen. The actual finish quality is second to none. The house is perfect for us and we are really pleased with it.
“The rooms are a very good size. You don't feel like you know you're cramped in the house at all. The bedrooms are brilliant, bathrooms are on the large side and the kitchen has an island as well.”
For Janet the layout and special touches made all the difference.
She said: "We came from a four-bedroom house and I did have a large kitchen there. I thought I'm never going to get the same kitchen as I had previously, but I was wrong. It's actually a nicer flowing kitchen - it's just a dream.”
“We did look at other places before coming to Mulberry Place, but when we came here, there was no competition. We came back to this one every time.”
Stylish, spacious and stunning, all the homes feature contemporary kitchens. There is a choice of materials and finishes and all-important extra touches as standard, such as soft close doors and drawers, Bosch and Neff appliances.
Master bedrooms feature an en suite and in some properties there are en suites in second bedrooms too. En suites, bathrooms and cloakrooms combine practicality with effortless style, with upgrade options available*.
There are also choices for ceramic floor and wall tiles, along with carpet choices available as an upgrade option. Outside, each home has a front garden with landscaping and turfed and fenced rear garden, with French doors.
Generous plots allow spacious homes and larger gardens, while the homes themselves are positioned to preserve the feeling of open space. Along with a ten-year NHBC guarantee, homebuyers will also get a two-year Penland Homes warranty and a snagging service.
Paul said: “The homes are designed extremely well for the space. The site managers here have been brilliant. You've only got to mention something and literally within hours there's someone knocking on your door asking if they can put it right, nothing was ever too much trouble.”
Homes are also sustainable, supporting and enhancing biodiversity and local wildlife, with eco-friendly features such as dual flush, water efficient appliances, high energy efficiency and insulation.
Location is everything
“The main reason that we decided to move here was because it was near our son, wife and two grandchildren,” said Janet. “We're now only 15 minutes away. We love the location - there's a mixture of coast and rural and it's quiet.”
The small development is within walking distance of the busy and picturesque local high street, full of independent shops, along with pubs, restaurants, banks, a post office and a pharmacy.
Paul said: “For local shops and amenities it’s ideal. You haven't got to go far. The shops are very individual. It's a very traditional old English high street.”
Janet added: “Mulberry Place is a nice small development, it is not overwhelming. The high street is two minutes away and everyone is so friendly.”
